El Cheapo jug. Those will be easy to identify as long as you can find them.

Yes, if a big one gets I'll probably never see it again. At that point I can either use bigger bamboo, lash two or three sticks together, or add balsa to make a more buoyant stick jug.
Bamboo is great because it's hollow inside.

Bamboo is great because it's hollow inside. Good idea after ya loose some make um bigger,nothing is more buoyant than air, well more air

I hope you are going to use them on a small lake because those are going to be a pain to find.

I would also use at least a pound of weight per jug.

If those are free floater you better put some paint on them. I don't think I could ever find them. When laying flat I think they will be hard to see.

That's going to damage a lot of boats/engine if they can't see them. What's the law regarding that? I understand it's any color but orange. Not mean to be negative. Just trying to think about safety of others on the boat.
