Rod and I have been hitting the Brazos below PK for a couple of months now and its been on fire (over 50 combined last trip). I've had a lot of people ask about it, so we've decided to do an open invite.

Chad Hoover and Hook1 are sending out some goodies that we'll be giving away. The bigger the attendance, the bigger the goodies he's going to send. Feel free to share the link and invite anyone you'd like. I'll post some info the week before on what they have been hitting on, and rough ideas of where. We may even film it and turn it into a River Ratz episode. But mainly, we just want to hit the water, catch some bass, and maybe make a few new fishing buddies along the way.

Dang, I wish I could make this but kids sports prevail. Never been on the Brazos but I'm constantly trying to plan some way to get out there. This seems like it would've been a great opportunity to not only get on the river but actually learn from some veterans. Good luck!

Do you usually float down and paddle back upriver? My dad and I are going this weekend and I'm not really sure how to go about fishing the river. Not planning on doing overnight trips either. Just up and down, or down and back

We usually paddle up or down the river, then head back to the launch spot. Its an easy paddle, with plenty of places to wade. We usually don't go more than a mile and a half, and we fish the whole time. I'll post some tips before we go so you can be ready, mainly about what they've been hitting on. Its easy fishing.

Awesome! I can't wait to get down there. I've never fished a river and was a bit worried about the flow going upriver!

Right now, the flow is almost imperceptible except in the narrow or shallow spots.

Yeah I'm definitely going, already registered. I've never fished a river in a kayak soo it will be interesting!!

I can confirm that it has been an awesome place. I have been there every weekend since the first of July. Sorry I won't be able to make this trip. I have some good spots I could point out if I were there.
