I am planning a trip to Beavers bend in mid October. I have a Class A RV and would like to camp there for a few days and float down the river and fish. I have never been there and hear it is nice. Any ideas for RV campgrounds, shuttle services etc would be appreciated. Is a car really needed to fish/float in that area. Really don't want to tow a vehicle. thx

Inside Beavers Bend the RV sites are first come first serve. Find one you like and just pull in and setup. Somebody will come by and collect from you. You will need a vehicle. You can't float the river by the RV sites inside Beavers Bend but you can just upstream from the power plant discharge. You'll need a way to get your kayak to the launch places in the park and if you plan to float below the re-reg dam.

Thanks for the info. Since I will need a vehicle, are there any private campgrounds close by and are there any rental car places in that area?
