To give and take info. But mostly to peruse the classifieds. That is my addiction, so say SWMBO!

Because I enjoy sharing and giving back just as much as I like catching them myself. If you've fished my boat you know my goal is to keep my guest on the sweet spot. I'm addicted to smiles as well.
Unfortunately I've learned there are consequences for those that give full reports and now I have been really contemplating this very question.

To take what I can learn, give back what I might can give. I visit because I just got back into fishing after 30 years wanted to see what had changed if any. I'm Teaching My 25 year old Down syndrome son to fish, he caught his first fish just 3 weeks ago. Not big enough to keep but a fish none the less. Oh and I check the Boat for sale section looking everyday for a fishing boat in his an my small budget. Life has allowed for more fishing now and we aim to use it. Fishing Waxahachie, Ennis area from the bank for now. I come here to see people actually catch fish cause we haven yet, but I expect a better September then August. It's quite motivating.

Im here to get more knowledge...share what I can...help who/when I can...meet new folks...fish new spots...and just all out become an overall better crappie angler. I joined first part of this year and was amazed by some of the positive stuff I saw on here!
I grew up fishing with my grandad and we would go out and do pretty good on Hubbard and Lavon but we didnt have a clue as to how to properly work his fish finder. Most of the times we would just tie up to a tree and dunk minnows, we never jigged! Wish Slade was available back then lol! But now my grandads gone on to glory land, I wana really learn/understand crappie fishing down to a science! If only I could go fishing with papa one more time to show him what Ive learned just from being on the forum and meeting new people, he would be amazed and overjoyed! Good folks on here with the same fishing passion I have is hard to let go of! I'm a humble young fella, who just wants to learn more from those who share the same love for fishing as I do. So again, I appreciate ALL the TFF for showing, teaching, and helping me become a better crappie angler!
Good solid post Ruffneck2000! Does the TFF ever have like a round up or meet and greet?? I'd like to meet more people and put a few names with faces!
Katchin krappie...doin surgeries(filleting)...and givin hott grease baths until krunchy and golden brown is what it's all about!!!

Came here to pick up tips and learn more about crappie fishing than I did before, and have.
Nothing to promote but like the fact that there are those that do and have used several of the products advertised.
Love the info like the sounder pics and use info. It also great to see the catch pics and stories.
Randy I'm in good shape for the shape I'm in!

Since physically unable to fish like I used to (want to), then hearing stories and seeing pictures about others fishing adventures is the next best thing.
On average, your heart beats 100,000 times a day. One day, one of those heartbeats will be your last. Then what?
The answer is found in Jesus Christ who said "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Made a lot of friends on here over the years and like BS'ing with them. Learn new stuff and keep up with what is working. Why are you here and not out there killing your limit? Look for Craig, you will know him when you see him. Went and now am back. Picked the wrong lease this year. Cold Front 2 weeks before season pushed them out. 3 birds 2 hunts yesterday and 0 today. Done until whitewings come in if they ever do.

I'm new to fishing on a boat, been bank fishing with my 2 boys for years, just invested in a boat so learning what I can about the different lakes, techniques, fish finders, how to find fish, seeing what's happening from other fisherman and guides on a day to day basis in real time I think is important to someone like me.
I really appreciate this forum. Give me a few months believe me I'm a fast learner, you will see photos of our hauls. Got a lot of good information in just a few weeks of being a member of this forum. Like I said I'm just a Dadthatloves2fish hence the name, having fun, eating good, passing down to traditional is what I'm about. Which reminds me.....I need to add a signature.
God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:28

GREAT QUESTION!I swapped from the bass forum to the crappie section approx. 5-6 yrs ago I knew almost nothing about crappie fishing, but quickly learned from those willing to share what little I now know I've made a lot friends and fished with some great folks from here I hope to continue to do so I only hope that I'm able to repay a portion of what I've taken away from here!!!! I was here long before the birth of Thermocline Lures, but wouldn't be honest if I didn't say that I now also use the forum to help advertise for Belinda....... I always give HONEST reports, with not just style & color, but presentations, depths, water temp and types of structure fished......some tourney info kept secret till weigh-in I've become aware of how many lurkers there are here, from coast to coast Seems everybody wants to know what's happening in Texas Another TFF "GTG" (get together) would be great, but more work than I can take on. I do have ample space here on Lake Fork for such an event and would be willing to help as much as I could........ And last but not least, who doesn't love some "Attaboy's"

hearing stories and seeing pictures about others fishing adventures. Until I can go is the next best thing. Todd Box and a few others does a great job of reporting their outings

I promote my business and try to give back to the other members in the way of accurate fishing reports for my lakes. I have also met many great friends through this forum. I see a lot of arguments on the bass fishing section. Glad to see most of the guys on this section get along well.

I didn't join for any specific fish. I didn't do a lot of fishing for the last 20 or so years, until we got the pods stocked and it started producing some fish this year. Started getting back into it and wanted to see about the area I live in and how the best way to fish out here, would be. I've learned quite a bit on here already and am enjoying finding others with the same interests. The guys and gals on here seem to be really great people and I haven't seen any fights or BS like I see on the other forums that I visit.
I'm on other forums that deal with the old turbo powered Buicks.;)

All of the above except advertising. But if i had some products that people wanted, it would be a clean sweep. Fan of crappie fishing and football here, its rarely enough coverage for either. GEAUX TIGERS AND SAC-A-LAIT.
