Do you guys bolt down your foot control on your trolling motors in the recessed slot of your boat? I’ve seen it both ways. I’ve never bolted mine down but I hit some rough water the other day and it bounced around more than I was comfortable with.

Your opinions please? Thanks

I think you always want to bolt it down bouncing around is never good.

Mine is bolted down. It's much easier on everything that way.

Screw it down, When it is in the recessed hole it will only set in one direction any way. It wont take near the beating in rough H2O with it screwed down.
