I went fishing at Denison Dam today with couple of friends. When I drove off the parking lot on TX side by the second stair cage, I left my rods and reels behind: two 11' surf rod, one 9' customer built. One 11' surf rod with reel, one without; 9' rod also had reel on it.

I may never see my rods and reels again. Just hoping that some one found them and keep them safe for me.

Sure sorry to hear this. Hope you do get an honest person to be looking for you to return.
However, I lost 2 surf rods w/reels and one $200 set-up all in a red Bass Pro rod/reel zipped case.
This was at the old Denver's bait house in Surfside while getting a quart of live shrimp.
This was several years ago and lesson learned when we now stop, we always leave a person at the truck when transporting. Couldn't believe it but do remember a small white pick up that just pulled up at the bait house for a second and took off.
I didn't realize it until we got to our favorite spot on beach.
We looked for hours and gave up.
I wouldn't doubt that they were sold/or pawned. All told $500. lesson learned.
You might check a pawn shop. Again sorry to hear about this.

Mine were not stolen. I just totally forgot them, and drove off leaving them behind. It's my own fault. No one else to blame.

Have you thought about posting an ad in craigslist? They have a lost and found.

Someone maybe lookin for you just not here on TFF.

Maybe post a little sign near where you left them?

The same guys fish that place and many know each other. I am sure whoever found them told some of his buddies about it and they told some of theirs...

Someone knows where your stuff is.

I have found that 95% of folks are good and want to do the right thing. That would include returning the gear to its rightful owner.
