I've many many stump fish. I've actually gone thru about 8 cast nets this year. I try and buy the Nets with lead weight wih out the plastic coating so if I do get snagged I rip the net out and melt the lead for weights

I've caught some pretty big carpy and smallmouth buffalo that we're prolly 15 and under. My coolest catch yet though was 82 beautiful gazzards, 3 carp, and a couple of big ole crappie which we're released. Ready for that cold weather to sail in so I can sack me up a better sack maybe and enjoy the weather cause imma bout to snap crackle and pop!!!! Lol!

3" thick crappie, my biggest mistake, it was in total darkness, no one could see me right? Wrong! I tossed it in my empty bait bucket, it flapped so loud it woke up quite a few crappie dock fishermen... heard some choice words from them ghosts, toss it back in the water? ... well will remain a mistery that only me and the ghost crappie fishermen will know. bolt

Learned my lesson, any thing other than shad, minnows, bream or suckered fish go back into the water because there are always ghost fishermen watching you! hammer

Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.

I was out at Denison dam on Texas side, I had casted the net I had for the last ten years, and watched as the end of the rope left my hand with it. I could not believe how stupid I was oh well no time to pout had to catch bait. So I grabbed my dad's net made extra sure it was tight on my wrist, and on the 5th or so cast I could not believe it but I had actully caught the rope of the net I just lost, and pulled it in not even hung up... Then I caught a rock with my dad's net and tore it to shreds... Luckily he wasn't with me on this trip OMG

I couldn't possibly compete with any of that ... maybe 350 to 400 lbs of crappie and shad in one throw .. that's a 10 ft radius net ... 20 ft diameter and it's plum full of fish. i've caught over 200 lbs of bluecat from 20 to 3 lbs in one throw ... a 40 lb buffalo... caught 4 different species at once ... caught over 100 lbs of keeper sized crappie once
