I would like to know if all launch fees in Grapevine Lake the same or are they different in certain parks. The reason I asked is because the fee in Oak Grove Park near McPherson Slough went up to $5 bucks, just a few weeks ago it was going for $2. And the annual price went up also to $35. They are just killing us!!!!

Just maybe it'll make those PWC owners think twice about launching.....or get 'em so PO'd they'll be more manical than they were last year.

OK, here is what I have found out about Grapevine launch fees.
The Corps has turned over operation of some of the parks to cities. I think it is due to a budget problem.
They have turned over Marshall Creek to the city of Trophy Club and the entry/launch fee is currently $3.00. Trophy Club is in the process of improving the park and launch ramps.
Other launch parks and launch ramps on the south side of the lake have been turned over to the city of Grapevine and they recently raised the daily launch fees to $5.00. According to the local newspaper the annual fee has been raised to $75.00.
Silver Lake Marina launch fee is still $5.00 as far as I know.
The Corps still maintains two ramps on the north side of the lake at Murrell Park. They are still free launch.

ONLY $5.00, WHAT A BARGAIN. TRY EAGLE MOUNTAIN LAKE, $10.00-$17.00 AT THE ONLY DECENT RAMP I COULD FIND. ALAN HENRY, TALK OF INCREASING TO $20.00 RANGE. LAST TIME I CHECKED THE SIGN AT LEWISVILLE AT 121 MARINA, $3.00 RAMP + $4.00 FOR VEHICLE + $3.00 PER PERSON. THINK ABOUT IT, A HAMBURGER AT MOST PLACES ON THE LAKE COST ALMOST THAT MUCH. $5.00, I'LL PAY. ------------------ GOOD FISHING. ERNEST"I LIVE FOR THE THUMP"

I thought we were getting off lucky with the $2 that we used to pay. Considering Joe Pool's Lynn Creek is $8 (I think). And you don't get anything special with that either. ------------------ Happy Hookin' -Jeff

Yes, and you can still launch at Murrell Park for free. Real nice ramps to. Especially the one to the west. Bill

if they have turned Marshall Creek park over to Trophy Club I am willing to bet that place will get a big facelift. Also could spell the end to duck hunting out there, and the motorcycle riding that goes on around there.

Yes, I would be willing to bet that the duck hunting on GV Lake is a thing of the past. Bill ------------------ Mild Bill

Bill, is Murrell Park the place at the end of the long road around the subdivision in Flower Mound? If so, there was a drop box on one ramp there last year that wanted $2.00 to launch.
If this was not Murrell Park, how do you get there from the dam? I live south of Grapevine and usually come from that direction.
I since I got my boat, I haven't caught a fish, but it's a great lake...even with the water fleas.
Thanks
cbob
I sure miss the stump dodging on Lake Fork...But I'm coming back soon to catchOVER the slot! 👍🏾

CBOB, The way I get there is 121 north and cross the dam. Go north on 2499 to McKamy then left on Simmons Rd. That will take you right to them. As far as I know there is no launch fee at these ramps. Bill ------------------ Mild Bill

when I lived in G'vine 3 yrs ago, there was a place on the west side of the lake that was free. Go out 114 west and turn rt. at the shopping center that has the Petsmart. It is a TPW park, so they may charge fees now. Only bad thing, it's a shallow and long ride to the main lake; and stay in the creek channel, lots of stumps to look out for.
