2 inch curly tailed grubs, solid colors for stained or murky water and the transparent green color for clear water. Seems to always catch "something"

If I wanted to catch something/anything I could, it would be either a 1/4oz round jig head with a curly tail grub, or a rattle trap. I'd tie on the rattle trap first and cover water, then resort to the jig if I felt a slower presentation is what they wanted. But it is all dependent upon conditions really.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!

Heddon Tiny Torpedo, with a rub. Remove the rear treble and replace it with a bead-eyed Clouser minnow on about 18 inches of line. Cast, plunk, wait for water rings to pretty much dissipate, then light twitch 2 3 4 5 6, twitch 2 3 4 5 6, twitch 2 3 4 5 6, etc.

Stink bait. There is only one species and it has whiskers.
From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."
Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!
