Anybody have any tricks for caring for a cork handle fihsing rod. Something to restore dry cork and something to help keep it from drying out?

Mary Lou cleaned up the cork handle on mine very nicely. I think she did it with an old wash cloth and some alcohol. Shoot her a message and ask.

Alcohol and a rag does it every time. It will look like new and will not dry out your cork and make it crack. I have been doing this for years and never had a cork problem.

Are y'all talking about regular rubbing alcohol? Sounds like a good idea.

I hope they're talking about rubbing alcohol, I used it last night. Good question, it never even crossed my mind before I used it. LOL, or maybe not?

Don't waste the drinkable stuff on a rod handle.

The alcohol won't dry it out?
