I have a Humminbird 798 CI SI Combo that registers erratic depths. I'm sure I'm in normal mode rather than demo. I'm not sure it is giving accurate SI/CI images either. My lake topography card is working just fine. That is one of the ways I know how incorrect the depths are. It can literally change from 2 to 25 feet in a few seconds.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Do you have the current software?

Is the transducer cable damaged?

Restore Defaults sometimes fixes glitches.
