cool Whatever brand Walmart has that is affordable, has lens color I like, is polarized and 100 UV protection. Past buys include Foster Grant, Berkeley, Spiderwire, Realtree, plus no-names. The way I lose/break sunglasses makes no sense wasting money I don't have to burn on overpriced names.

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

roflmao You're a trouble maker Eric. I voted Wiley, but I have a pair of Oakleys I wear as well.

I have the bifocal sunglasses sold here on the TFF by Bill Ellison. I have had lots of really great sunglasses in the past but nothing is better than having the bifocal lens when tying knots on the lake or even trying to read my dashboard or phone while driving without having to change to my reading glasses.

These amphibia or whatever are getting lots of mention. I'd be interested but to me glass lens is all I want. I had to superglue the rubber back on my Costas that I wear everyday last week. Had them about a year now, a little disappointed about that. Also I pulled out an old pair of Magellan glasses I got at academy for like $99 that had glass lenses I put them on the other day and may like them better than the costas.

Me too although I like the Amphibias better.

WOW I posted my answer and then went back and read all 4 pages of comments. I had no idea Amphibias were so popular, although I really liked my Costa 580's until I bought a pair of Amphibias.

I have both costas and magellan from academy, the magellan are some great glass lenses and for the money you can't beat em.

A fishing partner of mine wears these and I tried them for a bit. I felt like I was drunk. Sometimes I'd be looking out of the magnified part and sometimes not and it gave me the sensation of being dizzy. It wasn't a good sensation to have when standing on the front deck. My guess is that there's a learning curve on how to hold your head to look at things up close or far away but it was too complicated for this ol' country boy.

I wear Costas when fishing but I can't say I like how tightly the rubber tips grab me behind the ears. I wish they had a fat head model so that on day #2 of a trip I wasn't putting those ear pieces on sore spots behind my ears. For that reason alone I may try Amphibias one day.
