Great stuff. I tie off the line and spool it off down the drive way; then wind it back on a little, spray a little and continue the process until it is back on the reel. Lubes the worm gear on these old 5500c's at the same time.
I have some backing under the new line that has been on there for 30 years and it is still in great shape.

I believe it weakens flourocarbon. Just my opinion.

People say it weakens flouro I've been using the same stuff for over 8 months and spray it everyday never broke off yet not even on the 9.8 jig fish yesterday.

Iv'e used it for a few years now and have had zero complaints. It's just aerosol silicone. So is the kvd. I have had no proof that it weakens line. I like to spray it on a rag and hold the line while spooling the reel. You'd be amazed how dirty new line is.

After I clean the eyes on my rods I spray them down with it. Use it on Fluro and Mono and no problems.
Also I use it on the zippers on the cover of my golf cart. Makes the zippers glide better.

Reel Magic is oil based KVD is water based, not a fan of spraying petrol on my fishin stuff.
