Got a "new to me" bobbin and it keeps cutting the thread. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

I'm sure someone else will be along to help in a few minutes, but in the mean time, look at the end of it and see if there are any burrs. Does it have a ceramic insert? If not, that could be the problem.
I have several bobbins, but only one favorite.

That possibly might be why. I've heard you can glue a bead in, but I personally haven't tried to. I bought a couple of the cheap ones like that, but never use them. They didn't cut my thread, I just don't like the feel of them.

Run a q-tip and the edges and see if it snags... As far as suggestions, I really like ceramic tips.

Although I've not had any problems other than dropping a few. The dropped ones got dinged and needed polishing. I used a pointed felt wheel on my dremel with a bit of rubbing compound and it made then "slick as a whistle"
Tesion on those type of bobbin is critical. You may want to spread the legs a bit and see if that helps.
