Good link butterpants. Some of those guys seem to have some real issues. Their posts were as long as most books I've read.

The one in the picture is not your everyday Georgia Giant, it's the world record and is a 5 pounder. These things can be bought from Ken's fish farm in Georgia, he hold a US patent on them. They truck them to your pond for A $200.00 charge or you can meet the truck in Dallas and pick your fish up for only $50.00. They just stocked a pond in Tyler this week. We my soon have a dealer for them in Houston, he's a former NASA guy and likes them so much he has had five ponds on his land stocked with them. He say's they are better eating than normal Bluegill with a kind of buttery taste.

Get them stocked here and we can start a Texas Georgia Giant Fishing Tournament Trail.

If land owners are stocking them here now I wouldn't think it would be too long before they end up in some of our lakes.

How many do you need to eat before your next kid turn out to be 8'7" 527 pounds???

This is exactly why TP&W tests many fish when it comes to records...

BLUEGILL.

There are many hybrid species in the "sunfish" family. Some occur naturally and some are engineered.

There are MANY reference books on the market that will give you scale, spine and ray counts to properly aid in identification.

One can purchase these books (or at least order them) at most any bookstore. smile
