Depends on the lake and water conditions; but as water temps go over 90 degrees, my top 3 most years would be:
1. Drop shot--presents an easy meal (the bass don't have to expend a lot of energy getting it)
2. Spoon--will vary the size depending on the forage. Lots of dying shad falling to the bottom either from being injured by a schooling bass or suffering from the heat
3. Crig--gotta fish where the bass are, and typically they'll be deep near the bottom this time of year
My top three this year has been different, but this is an atypical year with some big bass still shallow and more suspended, not relating yet to deeper cover/structure. Things might get back to "normal" after this upcoming weeks' run of 105 air temps.

Jig, shaky head, big swimbait. The jig and swimbait because they will look for a big meal. A smaller shaky head with big worm when the other two don't work. Plus these three can be fished shallow or deep with good effectiveness. Big baits don't equate to deep fishing.

Caught eight on a big square bill at dusk last night in two hrs. Was throwing a c rig and nothing. but every time I pic up my sq I caught another fish. Even two at a time once.
