Anyone have any experience fishing the banks/pier in Clear Lake? I know the water is a bit brackish, so will I encounter sheepshead, reds, drum, etc?
I plan on rigging up some frozen shrimp on the bottom because I'm not sure if there are any baitshops in the area.
I have almost no saltwater experience and do not know what to expect.
Any tips?

Probably not much bank fishing opportunities, most of Clear Lake is private property. There are some public piers there, its a better spot in the winter, but give it a shot. There is trout & redfish in there year round. Doubt trout will be interested in dead bait tho.
The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.

I'm not picky when it comes to fishing. I will be happy if anything bites. Would you suggest using any other bait?
Gafftop, hardhead, doesn't matter. I just hope for a productive day.
