I just purchased a Lowrance 332c. This is the first GPS/SONAR combo i've had. I'm thinking of buying the 07 Premium hotmaps, but i have no clue what the maps look like or what kind of detail they show. Is there anyway to get just a screenshot or sample of the details shown for any of the texas lakes? I just want to see if its going to be worth the $150 to me

I just got the same unit and the 07 chip. Haven't had it on the water yet but just looking at the Belton map in the barn it's going to be great. I'll let you know if I ever get to the lake.

I did notice that it'll only zoom in to 1/8 mi. Is this as close as it will zoom, Jeff?

DW. I live over by Rockwall marine. If your interested, I can show you the Hubbard map on my LMS480. Then you can scroll around and take a look. I went to BPS in Grapevine and asked them to put one in a demo unit so I could see the lakes. You can do that too.

Glad to have taken..."the trash in the back!"

Yes, I know. I have just about given up on BPS in Garland for anything other than lures. They have nothing. The guy behind the marine counter (Chuck I think) is sharp, knows his stuff and is very helpfull, but it is no BPS Grapevine for the shear fact of stocked items.
BPS Grapevine has the 07 chip installed in a demo unit so you can see it first hand...or they did yesterday when I picked mine up. I also picked up a Keel Guard (which Garland does not carry).
Email me if your interested in taking a look.

I've tried several times now to PM you Jeff...
It keeps saying all fields are not filled in but I see no others...

Hello Jeff, I just received my 07 chip via fed ex from Cabela's yesterday.
I was going take some pictures of a few lakes for Dwclark, in that thread Jeff@Navionics..or a user??, as I am in and out working on my rig, and wanted to see these contour lines that everbody is raving about.
Dunno if I'm not doing this right or what...
I have an Eagle 500c FishElite. My LEI hotspots chip works great ... and it seems like my buddies 06 Navionics chip worked also... I put it in get a screen showing me that is copyrighted material LEI etc etc .... everthing works great..

I put my 07 Navionics chip in and nothing changes... no detail, nothing, at all zero.

Screens look exactly like no chip is in it.

Got any idea's?

thanks in advance.

I had the same problem initially. Then I realized there were several map files on the chip. I went to the 'map data' menu and then 'Navionics map choice'. I had to scroll down to the right file. I can't remember the name but there are 3 or 4 different files for Texas.

New question for Jeff. Will my classic version coastal chip work in my new 332c? I'm gonna be a little heartbroken if it doesn't.
