July 26 Well I had to go out of town on business for a few days and couldn't get the thump off my mind. Its tough visiting tackle shops and seeing these beautiful lakes but not being able to fish them. As soon as I got home this evening I had my rig hooked up. Got my first jig wet at 4:30 and was culling by 7. Left them biting. Timber is the ticket. Caught on BoneHead Slim Sticks "Grapevine" and "Salt n Pepper".

After fishing the last few evening a couple of fingers were bleeding and stained the braid. At least I guess that's why it's discolored.

That presentation has been working for me also, twitch the rod enough to make the jig dance, but not change it's depth, stop, stay still by a short period, then as soon as you start the 2nd shake - THUMP! Nice SLABS Bro Looks like you're zero'd in on them
