I would like to hear comments from those that have bought Rangers from Cabelas in Allen Tx recently (within 2 years). Comments on their follow up service,ability to add Talons /Powerpoles/electronics etc would be appreciated. And what motor did you go with.

Was in there just yesterday and they had one rigged with the G2 Evinrude, advertised price is $81k.
Beautiful boat.

I purchased a new Z118 with an Evinrude out there in July of '13. No problems. They installed both my Lowrance units. No problems.

Why not support a smaller, local dealer? Pretty much every boat dealer in the area spends money on the local fisherman, tournaments, sponsorships. What is Cabela's doing? I didn't even know they sold boats.

I wouldn't buy a $10 spool of line more less a 80k boat the place has nothing but negative reviews on review site plus they have treated me bad a few times. Go to a local dealer they will treat you like family.

Buy where you can get the best price. Any of the local shops will happily provide service afterwards.

Take your Ranger business to Diamond Sports Marine at Lake Fork and see Fred Barthold. Tell him Carl sent you and he will take personal care of your purchase.Stand up guy and there is a reason they are one of the finest dealers in the nation.As an analogy, you will only be a number at Cabelas and they will remember you and your name at Diamond Sports.

Never buy from cabelas when you have other reputable & knowledgable folks to buy from who truely care about you during and after you purchase a boat like Diamond Sports Marine at Lake Fork.

My old ranger(95) was sold to me by our local cabelas sales manager. He proceeded to tell me that the trolling motor prop wrench on the old motor guides was to help open the older ranger gas caps. I'd drive quite a distance to take mine somewhere other than my local cabelas for work. I live 500miles away but almost bought mine from diamond sports.

I think I would keep in mind that bass pro recently bought ranger before I bought one from cabelas.

I didn't even know they sold boats. There are none around Allen area. Closest Ranger Dealer I know is at Lake Fork, other than the Cabela in Fort Worth.

I think I would keep in mind that bass pro recently bought ranger before I bought one from cabelas. Do you think BPS Service Center will become authorized Ranger Repair Centers? That would be nice......
