Saturday the water was right at the top of the ramp at the Sanger access and at Pond creek the water was just in the parking lot. From the looks of those two ramps from the water, You could easily and safely launch a boat from either location. I am not quite sure what the wait is for other than what Danny said about the black top and debris clean up. I am guessing the pit toilets in those areas were also flooded out and are probably in need of repair.

See you on the lake and have a great day!

I saw a flyer at happy Hookers in Sanger where they are asking for volunteers tomorrow to clean up the parks so I assume that means it's getting close

I went to Ray Roberts boat launch today, It is well organized and went smoothly , Just be careful of the rocks when you drag the boat to the muddy bank , I put a nice ding in my prop. Also make sure not to go bare foot , I'm going to need a few stitches on the bottom of my right foot.

That sucks about foot. That is one thing about the cleanup. The zebra mussels are all over the place and very sharp. If that is what got you. Them suckers spread so fast.

My neighbor and I participated today in the volunteer clean-up of the Sanger boat ramp area. There were 42 volunteers for the morning shift and about 22 with us in the afternoon. It was very organized, and we worked side by side with the park rangers picking up debris, sweeping and blowing off the parking lot, painting signs and trimming grass. It made us all realize just how much work it will take to get all of the ramps back in shape. Word is, there will be more of these events. Surprisingly, with a breeze coming off the lake, it wasn't too bad out there.

If you don't pay the day before and you launch before the marina opens, they will charge you $20 instead of the $5. Just fyi for anyone out there. Learned that the hard way and had no clue that was a rule, no-one ever mentioned that. Just got there early hoping catch some fish on the early bite. Kind of hard for people that aren't locals.

Saw y'all at the ramp, was wondering if it was a clean up event.
Did they give you any indication on when they may open the ramp.
