How is the Summer time fishing for Crappie. At La-Mancha. Lake Leon.
Fished it during the Winter last year. For first time.
Caught a few fish. Worth the drive.
Just wondering is all.

Fished it a few times with my son last summer. All the throwbacks you could catch. Zero keepers.

Don't know about crappie fishing, but just watched an episode of honey hole outdoors on lake Leon and he tore up some nice bass.

Don't know about crappie fishing, but just watched an episode of honey hole outdoors on lake Leon and he tore up some nice bass. Yup. You know those couple of spots will get worn out pretty quick after that episode LOL.

Went last Sunday, a few keepers were caught but it was pretty slow. A couple did pull in on a pontoon and caught a 16 incher somewhere that day. It was huge!

I went friday between 11 and 5 pm, they had some keepers from the morning but not big numbers, went back monday between 630am-2pm I only seen 3 keepers caught I had one took the others guys single fish so I took 3 home for my wife, caught a bunch of small bass on a jig and cork along the shore, shad are thick in there right now, one guys lost a nice bass on a crappie jig just couldn't get it on the dock with that light line. Thats my report.
