 lake tawakoni flathead populations

I was wondering if tawakoni had a good flathead popution .I would like to know so if one day I catch one ill know if I should keep it or let it go I mean ive never ate a flathead and would like to try it but at the same time I dont want to deplete the population if it is low.

Any sizable body of water in Texas on large feeder creeks or rivers will have a health population of flathead even without stocking. They're there and plenty of them.

Eat a flathead and you may never eat another blue or channel. Flats under 20 lbs are the best eatin there is. I have et them up to 40 lb but the 15-20 pounders are the best.

You need not worry about depleting the population, if you catch one definitely keep it, best eating fish in fresh water, crappie 2nd.
