just bought mine and love it, installed, turned it on, and so simple even I can use it. got mine at Bass pro shop,..10% off with a new credit card. That makes it about tax free, when I get the first bill I'll pay it off and cancel the card.

Check with David at shut up and fish he can probably get you the best deal available. I really like my 93sv, wish the fish would get off the bank so I could really get more use out of it though.

Be aware that the mapping for these units are limited to garmin chips , not saying that's a bad thing but just letting you guys know that Toledo bend is not a detailed lake what so ever! I have heard that coming next year a very detailed map of Toledo is coming, but as of now there is squat available for Toledo on these units. Otherwise these units are great. !

I have fished most of the lakes in East Texas including Fork, Cypress, Holbrook etc. There are 1 foot contours on every lake I have fished. Not so much on Falcon. All in all Garmin's basic map, Lake Vu HD is one of the best I have seen.

I agree, just stating the fact that Toledo is not mapped out. I know a few people that purchased these units specifically for Toledo and were really disappointed . Just down the road rayburn Is a detailed lake, just making people aware of things that a lot get surprised with! The fact that garmin cannot run navionics also surprises people after the fact, I myself was dead set on buying a garmin until I found out this info and had to purchase another product. Knowing there is a more detailed card coming out in the future that will include toledo leads me to believe I will buy one then cause they are great units!

I sold my HB 1198's and went with Garmin 93Sv. I'm very happy. I should've made the switch sooner. Before my Humminbirds I had Lowrance HDS Gen 2's.

A little research goes a long way: http://lakes.garmin.comI haven't had mine long, but really like it so far. Easy to use.

I put a 93sv on the console and 73dv on the bow. Have liked them to date. As far as mapping goes I still have a HB788 with Lake Master chip just in case the Garmin map is lacking.
