Maybe I'm missing something, but what would a sticky about baits prove exactly?
Maybe a poll?
I don't know, is why I'm asking what will a sticky prove, because it seems most of the baits out there are already well known.
From what I've observed is that everyone who uses these baits have their own favorite and what works for them. I'm just afraid that a sticky will only cause bait bashers to post, and thus cause a lot of hard feelings for no reason.

Would actually help the prepared bait guys when they are looking for opinions or info on baits...

A sticky for prepared baits is a good idea. But I don't think that will change the bait wars in any form or fashion. You have to remember the people that do all the bait posts. They ain't gonna change.

Jimbo, if the advertising and bait wars were controlled, there would be no need for a sub thread. But the BS has taken over and not much information is posted these days. As far as the sub thread in the kayak forum, I asked a question and it has been there since May 29, 2015 and not a single reply.

Exactly my point guys ! Well articulated. Better than I could have said. I am ALL for people posting stuff about baits, but it's become a bit obnoxious. I am reading this forum for tips and advice and such and to get to know some good ole boys / gals. I feel like I am being hit with billboards ! or spammed ads. I have a lot of respect for the peeps that put together the stinkiest creations known to man, that will gag a maggot. I just don't wanna be hit with the advertising for it all the time.

For the MOST part- I see folks posting about the baits they use, and the bait makers responding to those post in various ways-
The bickering seems to me is from the bait USERS and then folks responding to them-
I may have missed something?
