Hole in console measurments are 5 3/4 in wide and 4 1/2 in tall. I'm trying to find out which graph I can buy that will fit in that hole. I've got a Hds 9 ram mounted at console also, so the unit I'm going to flush mount just needs to be a good mapping unit. Unit doesn't have to be a lowrance. I don't plan on mounting another transducer so I guess the new unit will be strictly mapping unless, I do by lowrance and it can be linked with others. My main concern if finding a good mapping graph that will fit in console hole thou.

Most 5" display models fit that cutout. Humminbird 500, 600, and 700 series Lowrance HDS 5 and Elite 5.
Just get one that has sonar and GPS/Mapping

Will a elite 5 be decent for mapping? Or can it be networked with my Hds units?

Will a elite 5 be decent for mapping? Or can it be networked with my Hds units? The Elite series have slower processors than the HDS units. You may not be pleased with the on-plane speed performance of how the maps are processed.
