Saw another one on tv yesterday the gator or something like that. Unless somebody gives it to me I'm not paying that much for a cooler lol.

Magellan has approx 2in of insulation. Performance is similar to Yeti. Great cooler.

I can buy a hell of a lot of ice for the difference in price between that and an Igloo, lol. There's also the fact that that 2" of insulation means I either can't put as much in the chest, or can't put as much in the truck. I just never was that impressed.

Personally I would buy American made coolers. Yeti BTW is not made in USA anymore. Funny they went overseas and the price remained the same. #marketing101
Igloo and Orca are both American made.

This is what happens when you send rotational molding molds to china... you can buy them back cheaper !!! http://china-rotomold.en.alibaba.com/pro...cooler_box.htmlthey copy everything and if you have a rotational molding machine you can buy one of those molds and make you own cooler

Kirk Good point. But can you have that ice delivered to you on day 4 of offshore trip, or hunting trip after you have cleaned your catch/kill?
