Has anyone dealt with a P2135 code before? I have a 2006 5.3 Silverado. This has been going on for a year now. My mechanic followed the TSB from GM. It stopped for a while but started back up. It keeps doing it but it is very inconsistent and I am not able to make it do it. It will do it on start up or driving down the road. I have to pull over and turn the truck off and wait and restart it. I dont want to keep throwing parts and money that I dont really have.
Here is what I has been done: 1) Pigtail from throttle body. Still did it. 2) New Throttle body (ac delco) 3) CPU flash 4) Pedal Position Sensor
Looking for a GM tech that has seen this before and wouldn't mind talking with me on the phone for some direction.
Thanks Mitch

I would make sure he used an A/C Delco T-Body... Have had a lot of 06's with the same problem, but usually cured the problem with what y'all have already done. The only other things it could be would be a TAC module or something in the wiring harness! A Tech 2 will give you a snapshot of all sensors and components at the time of the code setting!

Would the TAC module throw the 2135 code also or would it be different one? I am having Advanced Auto check the code. I know it isnt a GM one but I would think it would be pretty close.

That can be simple or a nightmare code. Have you made sure your tb is clean? Check the wires again. Every once in a while it ends up being the the 2 wires going to the tb is bad or broke inside that leads to the ecu or control box. 1 other thing. When you crimp those new pig tails GM has been very specific about using splice sleeves with the Kent Moore splicing tool, or problems with this code will return later on.

I would say nightmare code. I have been dealing with this for a year now. The throttle body was replaced with an AC-Delco TB after the connector pigtail still caused it. I am still leaning towards the wires from the TB even though the connector was replaced and spliced. Not sure about the tool that was used. I am also trying to find out if there is a complete replacement harness instead of splicing the connector. Having a hard time finding a part# for that.

Im a mechanic at an auto shop and have seen about 6 of these issues in my 2.5 years and only been able to fix 3 of them. They are very intermittent problems and a royal pita to diagnose cause they never seem to be broke when they roll into the shop.
Justin 63lb, 2 58lb, several 40's, 38lb, and several 20lb yellas.

The resistance will change intermittently causing the failure. We repair them by running new wires from the throttle body to the PCM and replacing the terminals at both. Not splicing on a new connector because that can add to the problem. This does take special tools and parts that are only available at the dealer or a high end aftermarket shop that will charge as much as a dealer without the experience of all day/everyday GM.
Good luck!
