I like using a 5/0 ewg gami superline on a trig and a 1/4-3/8th weight just depends on the depth your fishing and conditions. Also another great presentation is a magnum shaky head, I like using a 1/2-3/4oz and they will stand up with a 10" powerworm.

My best producers at night have always been T-rigged, 8- and 10-inch worms (black, grape, or blue), black Jitterbugs and Musky Jitterbugs, black buzz baits, and black single-spins.

all of the above should get you there!! If you are using a 10in worm 4 or 5/0 EWG should work...I am with Brad and that I would use a light shakyhead with a 10in worm....they work extremely well.
2nd favorite bait is a black/red single blade spinner bait with a colorado blade. Can't beat it.

I know I am a little biased but I can't believe not one person has said the Gene Larew Hawg Craw. That is one of the best night baits ever made. Go do a search because I think there was an article in BASS Magazine several years back that talked about it. I have always done well on that bait on a Texas rig at night. I also throw a large black spinner bait with a Colorado blade on it as well as 12" worms on a Texas rig.

I usually use the trusted 10" power worm but just picked up some 9" Culprit Fat Max and they look awesome for night fishing. When night fishing I always have 2 Trigs 1 light weight and 1 heavier weight and 2 spinner baits 1 1/2 with #5 and a 3/4 with #6
The day after catching a lot of fish is still a good day.
