So i haven't been fishing much this year. So when i lost a fish that looked like a DD i felt sick . And to top it off i was off shore and cranking at that. I thought i was either going to throw up or do the nestee plunge lost her right at the boat! I wish i hadn't seen her! FEEL MY PAIN Shot in 720p

Lost a fish in my hands up against the side of the boat earlier this year that was larger than my 12.76.
1oz spinnerbait pop'd right out of the mouth when trying to lip her.
It's a disgusting / disturbing constant feeling that will haunt you until you catch a fish of equal or larger size.

I'd rather never see it. Then I can just try to convince myself it was a carp or catfish and move on.

What rod are you using? It looks fairly stiff. Maybe it wasn't helping you very much and was easy for the fish to get some slack and shake the bait. Keeping that deep bow in the rod helps them stay buttoned up.

The biggest fish I ever had on was @ Fork and was more than likely DD........ I did get a real good look at it before it broke me off in a deep tree @ Burch.......I think seeing it made it a whole lot worse.........

I lost a monster this weekend. Flipping under some overhanding trees...20lb flouro....set the hook...felt her swim for all of 2 seconds and then snap....all I saw was a white belly flash....I feel ya.
Lost a 10+ at the boat on Fork last summer...deep crankin...sucks...but it's what keeps us going back

Crank, hahaha that reaction. Priceless. I've never latched onto a DD that I know of but I will take a moment of silence for you.

Its way worse when its feet from the boat and both you and your partner see it come halfway out of the water and throw your spinner-bait. It was my partners first 10 minutes ever on Falcon, "dam that was a big fish" he said. My thoughts were, yea you wont see another one that big this trip I promise!
I've caught well over 10 fish in the 10 to 11 lb range, my estimate of the fish was 15 lbs with my own eyes!
