I was out on the kayak and all of a sudden the reel feel off my rod and into the water. Luckily I was able to catch it by the line but the rod is done. The handle seat that holds the reel on broke. So no I am looking to get a new rod to use for plastic worms. I am looking at a g loomis e6x casting rod 7'1" med heavy. The reel I have right now is a abu garcia black max that I will be upgrading after a little while. Is this a good choice for texas rigged worms from my kayak or should I choose a different rod? It is a little more than I want to spend but I would rather have a good rod that will last.
Thanks
Walter

I've never heard of a rod breaking at the reel seat that's pretty wild. A lot of guys on here like the Dobyns rods and they are about half the price of a GLoomis. If you get it before the 7th on Tackle Warehouse you can most likely get 15% off. Not all brands are included in the sale though.

If the reel seat has broke off the rod we can fix it, if the rod broke down at the reel seat then it is time to replace.
