Hey y'all,
I am going to Cedar Creek this weekend with a bunch of guys. Unfortunately we don't have a boat so we are going to beat the bank around the house that we have rented. Was just curious if anyone had any info on what they are biting on and what times of day? Just trying to catch some fish!!
Thanks, Rich

If the house has a dock and it has lights on it, I would be fishing at night...

+2 A red rattle trap under the lights on docks has produced sandies, hybrid, largemouth, and catfish the last couple of weeks. If the house has a dock and it has lights on it, I would be fishing at night...

Fished Cedar Creek and Athens today. CC started off great but slowed way down fast. Had a fair number of bites but seemed they just shut off later in the day. Athens was fun. Had to work to get bit but finally got it going. I just started targeting schoolers mostly and then settled down late in the day and threw a frog in the pads. Spent about 12hrs on the water between the 2 lakes. Fun day.

What baits other than the red rattle trap have been working out there? I am looking to try and fish most of the day. So it would be nice to know if they are hitting on anything else!
Thanks guys!

Buy a cheap portable halogen light, set it up on the edge of your dock or sea wall at sunset, and come back around 10pm. The dock lights work well on some places, but upping the ante with 500w right on the surface sure improves your odds. Home Depot sells a lot of single bulb rigs for under $20.
