 Need opinions on trolling motor mount hardware...

Ok I've replaced these motor guide rubber mounts a couple times already.
I know minn Kota makes what's called quick nuts that can be used as well however to use those
I'd have to drill out the 1/2" holes to 5/8".
Are there any other types? Any other suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

You need to use nuts, lock washers and fender washers from the bottom. Through bolt it. Use the motor guide rubber mounts just cut the threads off them.
It can be tough on certain boats to reach in there. It took about 2 hours, making a jig and a lot of cussing on my Basscat. If you had a long skinny arm about 4 feet long it would be no big deal.

Stainless machine screws with a pan head (I believe 3 1/2 "), fender washers and lock nuts for the underside.
Get a sheet of neoprene rubber about 1/4" thick to go between the t/m and the boat. This allows for compression when nuts are tightened that reduces shock and helps keep things tight. Better than the individual rubber mounts in that it contacts the entire surface between the mount and the boat, not just 4 small corner areas.

Thanks guys, I put together some bolts. I got the stuff at Home Depot. Using 1/4" fuel line to put into the holes. The bolts slide perfectly thru them and they fit snug. Using large faucet washers for the spacers under the base. Will see how well it holds up.
