Anyone been to Hubbard on Friday afternoons or morning? How crowded has it been there?
Was wanting to go Friday afternoon but started to think about July 4th and some people being off etc...

As with most lakes Friday is a little more busy than during the week, but it doesn't seem to be as bust as the weekly bass tourney. The wakeboard boats will fill up party cove and the North stretch of 30 with people partying, wakeboarding, wake surfing and tubing. I saw some wakeboard boats north of 66 Tuesday morning.
Now seeing that everyone will be off Friday and July 4th being on a Saturday this year go ahead and expect every single wakeboard boat in the area to be out all weekend. Dallas PD and FD will be out all weekend. I'm sure rockwall FD will be out on their boat, as well.
It seems like every single year there is a drowning this weekend on either RH or one of the nearby lakes. Wear your pfd. Yes it's hot but wear it. Lots of people drinking and being stupid. I know it's usually the party go-ers that are in this statistic and not the fishing community (barring poor weather then it's "oh I'm a salty seasoned fisherman. I can fish in anything), but don't become one.
If you're planning on fishing just know it's going to be packed.

I live 10 minutes from Harbor Bay boat ramp and with that being said have seen how crowded that lake is on holidays. I do not go out there doing those times. Stopped by yesterday and there is a sign posted on the door stating that anyone who uses that ramp to launch has to be off the lake by 9 pm on the 3rd and out the parking lot. They are reserving the parking and launch for the residents who have slips and their families during the 4th. I would suggest anyone thinking about using that ramp to call first. Not sure about Bayview or Chandlers Landing. Two other free ramps are the ones at 66 bridge in Rockwall and the one over by Basspro next to the apartments. Not sure of the name of the street.

It will be very crowded. Not sure it would be worth the effort with all of the traffic.

Yea. We're gonna head to a small lake instead in the afternoon. Will hit Hubbard in the AM before crowd comes.

Until lewisville and lavon open back up Hubbard will continue to be extremely dangerous!!!! It's just a matter of time before some idiot runs over someone! I hope it never happens but when it does I won't be involved because I'll be somewhere else,

Wasn't to crowded... Would need a bigger trolling motor to deal with those waves.. Went out for about 3 minutes. To rough. Came back.
Hopefully wind will die down soon
