Went camping with my wife, son and his friend Ronald. We tried to go to Twak but it was full so we headed to Cooper. We had a blast tubing and swimming all day saturday. Today, Ronald told me that he really wanted to fish as he had never caught a fish before. I looked at several humps before I found one with a few fish around it. I hooked a hybrid on a cocamoe and handed him the rod. He had a blast bringing it in. He said that he wanted to catch one all on his own. I tied a cocamoe on to a Zebco 808 and showed him how to cast. About 2 minutes later I hear "I GOT ONE"!!! Looked over and his rod was doubled. Landed a nice 2.5 lb Hybrid. He told me that this was the best Sunday ever! He is a natural. Notice how he holds it as far away from his body as possible!

Did not seem muddy like I thought it would. Water temp was around 90. Bass fished Cooper 15 years ago but this was the first time to try for sand bad and hybrids. Hope tomake it back.
