Have not had good luck with marathon. Have triangle tires now and they seem to be holding up well. Would like to hear more opinions.

There is a long thread on trailer tires in the Boats & Motors section.

I used to have really good luck with goodyear until my last set. Two month old tire with the right amount of air blew out in the sidewall. Thank god I seen it about the time it happened and was able to save my fender from getting caved in. I dont think there made like they used to be. I know I will be going a different route then Goodyear for trailer tires from now on.

Kumho will be all I'll buy ever again. Dealt through the years with blow-outs on boat, 5th wheel... with all the major brands. Kumho has highest speed rating and never heard anything negative(yes they are not as common here). Can be bought through Discount Tires, Walmart...

Just bought a set of Carlisle Radial Trail RH Trailer Tires. They were highly recommended by Discount Tire.

Have had good luck with Goodyear Marathon radials.
Bad luck with anything bias ply. I think most radial trailer tires will be good.

I had to replace mine just recently due to dry rot. Plenty of tread left (being OEM installed in 2003) but there was 'cracking'. I just went with the same brand tire, Goodyear Marathons from Discount Tire. Seemed to last that long with no problems so, went with the same brand. Just my 2 cents God Bless

I've been researching this and I think I'll go with Maxxis 8008 or Kumho 857's. Most likely the Maxxis.

Been running Marathons for a few years and have had to replace them quiet often. I put a couple of Trailer Kings on and will see if they will hold up better than the Marathons! Oh, and they are around $60 each!

Some dependence on if single or double axle trailer. 2-axle can take a load range C, but a 1-axle most likely a load range D for bass-boats. Believe Kumho makes a D.

I run passenger car radials on my BassCat trailer. It's what it came with from the factory.
