doesn't surprise me. I have fished it 100 times and I've caught maybe 2-3 overs there and 5-10 slots/unders. I had a buddy that got into a nice school west side catching 4-5 overs one pass. now once you go into Twin Coves it seems to be better. just those outside points look better than they actually are.

I'm not sure what to call it, but something like a sucker bet, maybe call it a sucker hole. Everyone knows there are fish in Twin Coves and both sides going in are rocky, deep, and loaded with bait. I have caught some fish there, but it is amazing how few for how good it looks.

I've had the same experience. I know I can usually catch a few in the coves, but you'll be dodging kayaks and other guys fishing the whole time. . .and you won't ever get bit like you expect in there. If you look at the topo it's one of the best looking spots on the lake. . .but at this point I'd rather go fish the Sliver lake tires or the dam.

Man honestly I just assume guys are white bass fishing when I see them over there. I've fished it a few times for bass, once with an A rig and once cranking it, no fish on the a rig and we caught a few white bass and 2 catfish on the cranks. . .that said I still think there have to be some bigger bass hanging out below all of those fish that are constantly there.

catch em all the time there, gotta get below the white bass. mostly small schoolers and spots though. the big ones use the pipe as a funnel up and down the rip rap.
