I have a couple days of vacation coming up and I wanted to escape from Dallas area. Any recommendations in TX say within 100 miles. I like to head west or south. It will be me and a tent. Distance can be further just don't want to spend more time driving vs fishing. Any ideas would be great.

I had one hell of a day below the PK dam last Thursday. There's even some camping in the parking area, and there were only two other people there all day.

I caught so many stipers I lost count. I also caught a gar, some sandbass, and a black drum.
