Jason James is a long time member of J C Outdoors, Media Bass, Fishers of Men and Bud Light Trail and is well known among the Tyler, Palestine and Lake O the Pines anglers. He was recently diagnosed with cancer and will be undergoing treatments in the months ahead and could use everyone's prayers for him and his family.

Todd Smith 903-808-8027 and Lynn Deese 903-424-5929 are organizing a tournament to help James and his family relieve some of the financial stress and burdens associated with his fight against this cancer. If you can please join us at the tournament if possible. If you would like to donate a raffle item or prize, make a financial contribution to James and his family or would like to buy some raffle tickets you can contact Todd or Lynn at the numbers above. Raffle tickets will be sold for $5 each. A list of raffle items will be posted as they come in, I expect to see some tremendous raffle items donated over the next month.

Tournament Details

Registration will begin at the tournament host site beginning at 4:30 AM Saturday morning July 18, 2015.

Tournament start time will be 6:00 AM with all fishing ceasing at 2:00 PM and all teams checked in by 2:30 PM at host ramp Johnson Creek on Lake O the Pines.

Main Pot $100 will be paid back at a rate of 70% to James and his family and 30% to be paid back to the top three teams at 1st-50%, 2nd-30%, 3rd-20%

$10 Big Bass Pot will payback 50% to Jason and 50% to the angler/team weighing the biggest bass overall.

$50 Side-pot Option will pay back 100% to the anglers at 1 payout per 7 entries.

A meal will be served following weigh in as well as the last opportunity to purchase raffle tickets.

I've known Jason since he started kicking my butt when I joined Tyler Bass Club 11 or 12 years ago. He's an outstanding fisherman and an even better young (at least compared to me) man. I know he'll beat this but I hope everyone who can will turn out to help. He and his family are in my prayers.

Mark, I have a previously scheduled event that weekend and can't fish, but I want to donate the $100 entry fee amount anyway. Where can I send my check?
