I'm interested in getting into the world of kayak fishing. I'm 57 yrs old & will be fishing in local lakes. At this point not interested in long distance paddling. Get a little exercise & a little fishing in. Never tried a kayak before. Went out today to a local store that rents kayaks. Had a couple used Tarpon 100's for sale at a very reasonable price. Priced them at $350. That price got my interest up. Can anyone give me any opinions or thoughts on the Tarpon 100. Was originally thinking about a 12' kayak but that $350 price tag has me considering the Tarpon 100 now. Thanks....

I think it is just a standard seat.

Since you're not interested in doing long distance paddling, the Tarpon 100 should work, although a 12 footter would track much better. And the seat question is also very relevant, especially if you plan on spending a lot of time in your yak.
