I used to spend 3 months in Southeast Alaska. Take Garlic caps for a month before getting there, spray all the clothes with Pyrethrin and use 100% deet on exposed skin. That took care of evrything including the nosee ums.

Where have you found that is the best place to buy the bulk high percentage concentrate? Farm chemical supply places. The places that sell bulk fertilizer and chemicals. At least around here....
If you can either quickly or quietly switch out shells, you can bring home almost anything.

How do geckos respond to permethrin? would hate to lose them in the battle against mosquitos I haven't noticed any decline in my Gecko herd and I been using it for years. Supposedly it's harmful for fish and birds but I don't notice any decline on those stinking Mockingbirds that destroy my peaches and plums.
From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."
Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

I work for a Mosquito control company doing spraying of residention yards. Permethrin is what we use. CyKic and Bifen IT are the chemicals we use. They last a very long time and kill most any insect.

Mojo - are you saying you guys mix all 3 in a tank and spray? Or do you just use whichever is on the truck? Looks like all 3 of those have mosquitos on their kill list.

Amazon has Permethrin SFR 36.8% permethrin Quart for $23.00 is that a good price? I consider that a good price. I get a gallon for $90 with a family deal, so yeah, that's a good price in my opinion. I spray it around my chickens, and I haven't lost one yet. It's hell on crawfish though, I hear. You don't want to spray it anywhere near a crawfish pond. I bet if a person gave crawfish burrows in their yards a quick squirt that it'd take care of that mud bug and keep it from making a mud chimney that will dull your lawnmower blades. That would work.....probably illegal so don't do that, but it would work in theory
