Caught one there for the first time ever and ive fished it probably 20 times. Anyone else ever bass fish there? If so is it me or the pond? I know its fished heavy lots of folks ever time i fish it. There is a smaller pond on Las Vegas trail by the baseball fields. It seemed to have more life in it then the big pond. If anyone has any tips for these spots it would be appreciated. It was nice to get out and fish today.

I have fished that pond by Hawaiian Falls three times, and have been shut out so far. It is fishy looking, but I don't believe there are many fish in there. Not sure about the pond on Las Vegas Trail.
Try the water hazards on the old Z-Boaz golf course. It's now a city park, located across the road from the Goodwill store on Camp Bowie. There are a few bass, a few more channel cats, a lots of perch. Good place to practice with the fly rod. Lots of room and hungry perch.
Good luck

Veterans park is the one by Hawaiian Falls. They stock it with catfish for kid fish events. Heavily pressured. It's definitely the pond. Not you. There are bass in it. But it's very hard to catch them. I've been skunked there quite a few times. Never got anything. Not even a nibble. I don't really have any tips to offer. Other than you, I've only heard of one other small bass being caught. Ever lol.
As for Central Park, on Las Vegas Trail, I read that TPWD stocked it with bass back in 2012. Fished there once and got nothing. Didn't even see any baitfish or perch or anything at all. Maybe keep trying it. Surely there is something other than turtles and ducks at that pond.
I second what Sandbill said about the golf course ponds. They closed it a long time ago and opened it into a city park. I worked for the Fort Worth parks department and was told it was stocked with quite a few bass. Heard a story about a big one or two in there. But not sure if it's in there still

If i recall there was a thread about that golf course on here a long while back when they were just alking about it being a park. Some one on the forum said they fished it a few time with no bites at all but since i live pretty close i will let yall know sometime this week if i do anygood at the golf course. I know most of those ponds look good.

Some kid caught a big [censored] cat at veterans a couple years ago during one of the kid fish events, probably 50lbs.released it back after they took a few pics,it's probably been eating all yall's bass you have been trying to catch.
