Taking my dad fishing saturday and he never fishes so this is rare.
Thinking twak but with bass masters was gonna give cooper a try. Anyone know if they have opened it yet and if so, how is the clarity? Is it settling some?
Thanks.

All the ramps are open. About 3 ft. over full. Water looks like chocolate milk. Don't know if the fish are biting.

does Cooper tend to stay muddy for a while? I grew up on Livingston and it will probably be muddy most of the summer. Some of the lake in my area clear up quick, like joe pool for example.
I'm thinking about going to Cooper in late June but not sure how that rise in water level will effect the fishing there.

Cooper is a very tuff lake to catch Hybrid Striper and White bass on lures when the water is muddy. If you don't want to crowd fight Twak, maybe Cedar Creek? Bet live bait and or cut bait would crush on Cooper

my fear with cooper being down for so long is they will be back in that timber chasing shad up into the fresh vegetation. I know they are more of an open water fish but a little weary of taking a trip there for a couple days (doing that in June) with the water like it is...

I have fished cooper a fair amount and when we went when the water was nasty it was a terrible trip.
I hope it clears soon.

Hopefully cooper would be productive soon, the shad schooling and water bubbling is some of the best I have ever experienced when fishing for hybrid/ white bass!
