Sorry for the late post, just got distracted. I took the boat out Monday afternoon and met Jpenwell at the ramp at 1:30. We took off & hit 2-3 brush piles, finding 1 fish here, 1 there so we changed our tactic a bit & found a nest, or at least a spot where the fish seemed to be congregating. We put 20 fish in the live well fairly quick. I wanted to try a few other areas so we left them biting (usually a mistake) and hit another 2-3 brush piles & quit at 6 (heck, I haven't been out on the lake that late in years). Anyway, I put enough filet's in the freezer for a good mess of crappie tacos. Thanks for the company & conversation Jerry.

Never used an orange color like that on Palestine. Do you use that color a lot on that lake?

That one crappie looks very unhappy, course I would be too if I had a hook in my nose...

I talked to one of the guides on the lake last Tuesday and he said they were hitting orange under the bridges ... wind got to bad for us to find out tho, but we caught a mess of bream in a nice cove.
