Jay, you may want to look into GST internationals wet look concrete sealer. Ive used it for everything from thread cement to sealing airbrushed cranks and not had a single issue. It is very thin so sometimes a double dip is needed if you are wanting to build a finish. I get mine at menards (OK it comes in gallons so I got my lifetime supply) and initial cost seems a bit high but once I counted my empty bottles of sallys, muliplied by cost per bottle, it was a no brainer. http://www.menards.com/main/landscapeest...l/p-2364502.htmI put vaseline on the inside of the lid. Transfer to a squeeze bottle (I use a pipette so as not to make a mess) and to a couple of applicator bottles http://www.ebay.com/itm/Applicator-Bottl...=item1c508aabf8 and I'm ready to go.
Wishing All Y'all Tight Lines and Bent Wriggling Rods!

Jay. The top half of the jig is oxidizing which causes the jig head to turn dull.this is a natural thing for the soft lead that is used to make these jigs. When you apply the Sally and it touches the lead it puts a thin protective coat on it and doesn't allow the oxidization to take place. Coat the entire head with the Sally's and the lead will stay shinny Charlie
