 08 250 vmax stalls when throttled up

Made a run across the lake and it ran fine for the first half, then all the sudden the motor dies. It starts back up and idles fine and in gear, as soon as I hit the hot foot to get it on plane it dies again. Did this several times as I limped back to the ramp also had to prime it several times. Any idea what could be causing this? It's like its starving for fuel as soon as I throttle it up.

Sounds like your high pressure pump bit the dust. Have the fuel system checked.

take it an have it scanned it will show low fuel pressure if that is the problem.

Same thing mine did when my low pressure diaphragm pumps bit the dust.

Thanks Guys, Taking it in today. I'm hoping it is just the LP pump and not the HP pump, as I looked at the price of the HP pump
