Due to the Lake being muddy I decided to go take the kayak around Neely Slough and check it out. The water is starting to clear up some due to all the rainwater pouring in.



I didn't fish this time but saw lots of nice size largemouth in the shallows after shad schools and perch. Water falls seem to be everywhere.



A side benefit to the five inch rain we had is kayaking down normally dry arroyo's. My dog abandoned me and all the fun after we flipped over on the next run.



Got to make use of all this rain.



It was really hard dragging the kayak upstream in all that flow.

I don't know if its living the dream but the best fishing on the lake right now is by Kayak only. I guarantee you no one in a big fiberglass ranger can get up those Arroyo's that have become small rivers and that's where the bait and the LM Bass are right now.

Were the grounds pretty muddy? I have friends that want to take me camping this weekend. Was wondering if there is a lake in texas that isn't too muddy to camp.

The lake was muddy when I left a couple days ago. To get clear water you have to go up the creeks running into the lake.
