I was riding the jet-ski in the Intracoastal Waterway today in Sargent, TX. Saw this snake and tried to shoot a video of it. Sorry for the [censored] and short vid. Very beautiful bronze color. [img]https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/usergals/2015/05/full-65836-61643-image.jpg[/

Well the whole body appears to be floating which could mean cottonmouth. Lots of them around there too. Hard to say with the picture.

White underside of head and body shape as well as swimming style tell me its a rat snake, most likely a Texas rat snake.
