So it's going to come up 5' and they are going to let out 3'. The estuaries need it. They've only gotten half their normal annual rainfall in the last three weeks.

So it's going to come up 5' and they are going to let out 3'. I said Choke was going to get some water, not that it would come up!

I hope your being sarcastic razorback. Lol Yep. Why do I have this image of people and land downstream already being flooded and the government employees who control the lake level still releasing water because of some rule about maintaining stream flow?

So your comment has given me the image of government employees who control the lake are possibly ex employees of McDonalds who weren't smart enough to work the drive through windows!

This is a shot of the park along Ih-37 south heading into Corpus, it was closed and flooded out along with water all over the access road. Beats me why still want to release water out of Choke.

The government term for it is SOP or standard operating proceedure! If someone is told to do something at a certain time for how long they don't question it. It's also called CYA, or cover your a__! That gate keeper probably loves his job and won't make waves for fear of losing it! As long as that check hits the bank every month just keep on keeping on!

What's weird is the from the site that I monitor the water level on Frio at Tilden is well below what was predicted. The river had been high at the derby station upstream for quite some time. Where does that water go. It's like it's disappearing between Derby and Tilden which can't be more than 50 River miles.

I will add that the monitoring station on Nueces near Tilden still shows ten times more water than what's running in the Frio.
