I would tell you all how to catch large fish on demand below the dam but you wouldn't listen any better now than you did back in 2007.

Hey just a reminder to anyone who attempts it I can't remember how far down the stream but it is quite a ways Oklahoma owns the water it is unlike most Rivers so if you're on the Texas side and your feet are wet you need an Oklahoma license. For those that frequent broken Bow and the blue River shouldn't be a problem. Going to be a while before it's fishable I think after going Wednesday with just two gates at 3 1/2 feet.

I wish y'all good fishing at Denison Dam. I am in China for my parents 60 years marriage anniversary. I will miss the action at DD for 3 weeks.

If you're planning to try to fly fish the river, you might want to wait a while. The river is scary right now with the floodgates open. Was out there yesterday with a couple of thousand of my closest "friends", the river is flooding and there are a lot of tourists out there.

Be careful and patient if you head out there.

With that said, it is an impressive sight with the floodgates open. The spillway itself, not so much...

When I was there last Wednesday with just two gates open their were tourist everywhere. Hey moon you are going to be fine it may be a month before they shut the gates off lol

Here's a view of the river with the gates open. Note how deep the stairs are. This was taken 23-May with the release at 45,000 cfs. I'm not wading into this.



Here's a view of the lake looking at the boat ramp on the Texas side by the dam. This was taken at 638.5 ft. It looks like the lake is currently at 641.5 ft and still rising.
